Ruby's gift fit for a princess

A little Rapunzel has donated some of her hair to help children who have lost theirs.

Six-year-old Ruby Wilson gave 12 inches of her locks from her last haircut to the Little Princess Trust, which provides real hair wigs free of charge to children who have lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other illnesses.

Her mum, Emily Crabtree, of Roundhay, said: “Ruby said that she wanted to make another princess feel special. Ruby wanted to donate her hair. She originally watched a YouTube video of an older girl who had really long hair who was doing the same thing.”

Emily, 24, added: “I think it touched her heart when she watched the video. She has a heart of gold. She will do anything for anyone.”
