Holmes told Good Morning Britain: “It’s a huge day for anyone who’s going to come along and anyone who has the will to watch and wish them goodwill.”

He added: “There’s no doubt it won’t be the same amount of audience or crowd that Meghan and Harry had but there’s still a lot of love and a lot of interest.

“What else would you be doing on this Friday morning? It’s very nice.”

“Apart from watching This Morning,” Langsford said of the ITV extended special.

Langsford said the blustery weather was playing havoc with her hair.

“Already it’s all over the place but we’re hoping the wind might drop a little bit before the bride arrives,” she said.

She added of the Duke of Edinburgh: “He’s a man who decides on the morning how he feels so hopefully he’s feeling like he might want to come today.”
