Eagles of Death Metal today revealed they will be playing next summer’s Leeds Festival, taking place at Bramham Park, near Wetherby.

They also confirmed they will be completing the European tour dates postponed after their concert at the Bataclan Theatre in Paris was targeted by gunmen.

The tour includes a concert in the French capital on February 16 which will be held at the Olympia Theatre as the Bataclan will not reopen in time for their return.

The band’s frontman, Jesse Hughes, said: “The people of Paris have always been incredible to us, and our feeling of love towards this beautiful city and its people has been reinforced a million times over this past month.

“Hearing the stories of the survivors, the injured and those who have lost loved ones has been overwhelming. Not returning to finish our set was never an option.”

Scores of people died in November 13’s Bataclan attack, with the band only escaping the carnage by hiding in the venue’s dressing room.

They returned to the scene of the massacre earlier this month to lay flowers.
