Boxing icon Ricky Hatton is targeting a comeback to Yorkshire after his well-awaited return to the ring.

The former light welterweight world champion will host a lunch at Bewleys Hotel, in City Walk, Leeds, on Sunday December 16, from 12noon.

Known as the Hitman, Hatton will host the afternoon event, where an auction will take place and fans can get a picture with the star less than a month after the 34 year old fights Vyacheslav Senchenko in Manchester on November 24.

Co-promoter Tony Dunn, from Sports Media Promotions, said: “If he wins it is your last chance for a long time to see him doing this sort of thing due to his comeback.

“He’s just really down to earth and funny and hopefully the next world champion.”

Tickets cost £50 per person for entry and a photo with Hatton or £30 to attend only.

Former England star Paul ‘Gazza’ Gascoigne will appear at the Queens Hotel on February 22 2013.
