A positive meeting place for people in Leeds has been officially opened in the city.

Volunteers cut the ribbon at the New Wortley Community Centre on Tong Road on Saturday.

It was partly designed by Leeds Beckett Universities Project Office students after its owners, the New Wortley Community Association, won £686,000 of Big Lottery funding. People can use the centre for activities, education and to socialise.
