Revealed: Leeds’s favourite Desert Island Dish

Have your say

Leeds is patriotic to the plate as a polls of the city’s favourite Desert Island Dish reveals.

According to research almost a third of those in Leeds (28%) would pick British as their takeaway cuisine of choice, with the humble fish and chips claiming the top spot as their ultimate desert island dish.

Traditional British dishes dominated the top two which also included a Sunday Roast in second place respectively, ranking higher than popular takeaway favourites such as Tikka Masala and Chow Mein.

It seems in times of need, people would forego decadent dishes in favour of comforting takeaway classics as tastebuds also craved a simple margherita pizza and firm favourite sweet and sour Chinese, which also made the top five.
