The white lines on the road will also be repainted and new reflective studs will be installed as part of the work.

The slip road will be closed from Saturday October 24 from 8pm until 6am on Monday October 26, and from 8pm-6am on Monday.

Highways England project manager Mark Ramsden said: “It’s essential that this work takes place so that drivers can benefit from smoother and safer journeys, and a well-maintained road network.

“The slip road will be closed during the weekend and overnight on Monday to allow the work to be completed safely.”

Mr Ramsden said work is being carried out to avoid causing disruption to regular weekday traffic.

Clearly signed diversions will be in place at Moor Road to Junction 5 at Beeston when the slip road is closed.
