She also took inspiration from her favourite designers Burberry and Chanel when creating her design.

Speaking about her design, Myra whose home is in Huddersfield said: "It was fantastic to win the White Rose Young Fashion Designer competition and I'm so excited about seeing my dress go on sale in Republic.

I'm a huge fan of fashion and hope to study it at university after school and college, so having one of my designs produced and sold by a national fashion retailer is an absolute dream come true. I can't wait for the moment that I actually see someone wearing it!"

Sharon Poulter, group marketing manager at Republic, added: "Myra's designed a fantastic on-trend dress, which our customers will love. For someone so young she's demonstrated extraordinary talent and I'm sure her dream of becoming a fashion designer will become a reality in the future.

"Her dress is perfect for the party season and we expect it to fly off the shelves, so if you'd like to own Myra's design then we'd urge you to get down to store quickly."

In addition to having her design sold by Republic, the White Rose Shopping Centre Young Fashion Designer of the Year winner has also won an all-expenses paid weekend for two to London Fashion Weekend.
