Remploy: Jobs blow at firm for disabled

Voluntary redundancies are being sought at Remploy, the UK's leading provider of employment services for people with disabilities and health conditions.

The national organisation has a successful city centre employment office at South Parade in Leeds.

It also runs a factory making surgical supplies at Millshaw Mill Lane, near Beeston.

Remploy has 45 branches nationally, securing jobs for up to 30,000 people in the UK annually.

The company said many of its factories were operating at 50 per cent capacity and it was a personal choice for individuals if they wanted to take redundancy and support was being offered.

Its mission is to provide sustainable employment for disabled people.
