Stars of the music world walked the red carpet in Leeds as the city hosted the MOBO Awards 2015.

Around 10,000 spectators attended the ceremony, which is expected to boost the city’s economy by £1.35m, at Leeds’ First Direct Arena.

The star-studded line-up for the evening included performances from CeeLo Green, Rita Ora, Stormzy and FKA Twigs.

The annual ceremony, which this year marks its 20th anniversary, celebrates performers of any nationally or ethnicity who play music of black origin.

CeeLo Green, dazzling in an all gold outfit, and Naughty Boy were whisked into the First Direct arena in Leeds after taking pictures with screaming fans.

But noticeably absent from the red carpet was Rita Ora who was still scheduled to perform at the ceremony.

The night attracted more than just musicians, with The Great British Bake Off’s Nadiya Hussain wowing in blue alongside her dapper husband.

X Factor casualty Bupsi was out to support judge Ora and promised the crowd they would be seeing her name in lights up by the Poison singer’s soon.
