On Sunday morning, a record number of members gathered at Roundhay Park to jin in the festive fun, with nearly 400 dogs and 700 people pop on their Christmas jumpers to meet up with old and new friends.

Member Melanie Nicholson, who helped to organise the Christmas walk, said: "I joined the group seven years ago, when my own daxie was just a few months old, and there were only 70 members.

"We now have nearly 6,000 members and I’ve met some amazing, friendly and supportive friends who regular meet up for walks all over Yorkshire.
