Rail commuters delayed after passenger taken ill at Garforth

RAIL commuters between Leeds, Selby and York were delayed after a passenger was taken ill on a train at Garforth.

The passenger was taken ill at around 8.40am.

Routes affected included:

- Northern Rail between Blackpool North and York and between Leeds / Huddersfield and Selby

- CrossCountry between Glasgow Central and Plymouth / Bath Spa

- First TransPennine Express between Liverpool Lime Street and Scarborough, between Manchester Airport and Middlesbrough and between Manchester Piccadilly and Hull

National Rail said the incident was cleared by around 9.30am.
