And the following day he will be giving his fanbase in the city a taster of what to expect when he headlines the Mint Festival at The Tetley doing a DJ set with TS5.

The TS5 project began in his own home in Miami where he hosted and DJ-ed weekly house parties, which he shared via soundcloud.

This led to him being flown across the world to host TS5 events at clubs in Geneva, Italy, Sardinia and the world renown Billionaire Club in Monaco.

Organisers at Saturday’s Mint Festival say he is “this year’s special guest and arguably the most anticipated act performing at the festival”.

Saturday’s performance will add to ticket demand for the Leeds date which is March 31, 2017 at the 13, 500 capacity First Direct Arena.

UK dates start on March 16 at Cardiff and also visit Liverpool, Bournemouth, Plymouth, Brighton, Birmingham, London, Nottingham, Newcastle, Manchester, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Belfast before finishing in Dublin on April 7.

The ‘Following My Intuition’ Tour is the biggest arena tour that Craig David has done for 15 years.

He said: “I’m beyond excited to announce this tour. It’s been 15 years since I did an arena tour here in the UK and I want to enjoy every single second this time around.

“I don’t take anything for granted and this tour honestly means the world to me.

“I feel so lucky to be able to travel the UK and perform tracks off my new album as well as some of my classics and to invite everyone to enjoy the TS5 experience too.

“I have no words for how amazing this year has been for me and I want to thank my fans for the incredible love and support they have shown me. I can’t wait to see them on tour.”
