Public vote to find Yorkshire's most popular reservoir

Once all votes are counted, the winning reservoir will have a life-sized steel photo frame installed, designed by a local artist, to provide visitors with the perfect photo opportunity.

Millions of people visit Yorkshire’s 130 reservoirs every year to run, walk their dog, picnic, or just to enjoy the peace and tranquillity they provide for free of charge.

The public vote has already started and will run across Feb and March, with the public deciding via a weekly vote on the best reservoir in first west, then north and then south Yorkshire each week before a grand final vote takes place on February 22 to March 3.

To cast your vote for west Yorkshire’s favourite reservoir visit Yorkshire Water’s Facebook page, which features spectrally drone footage of some of the area’s finest reservoir retreats.

The deadline to vote for west Yorkshire’s best reservoir is Friday, February 9, at 5pm.

The winning reservoir will have a fantastic life sized picture frame installed at the water edge that will frame the beautiful landscape and make for a memorable photo. Free activity packs are also available to order from Yorkshire Water’s website which offer loads of fun games, activities and reservoir maps to get kids out and about and keep them entertained in the Great Outdoors.
