A West Yorkshire Police worker has been arrested on suspicion of fraud.

The 45-year-old woman and two men who are not police employees were arrested at Bridge Garage, on Wakefield Road, Ossett, yesterday.

Detective Chief Superintendent Andy Brennan, of West Yorkshire Police’s professional standards department, said: “Police have arrested three people on suspicion of fraud offences.

“A 45-year-old female police staff member and two men, aged 70 and 47, who are all from the Wakefield area, are currently in custody.

“The alleged offences relate to the woman’s employment with West Yorkshire Police and the provision of services by a private company.”
