Popular post office renews its lease at Leeds shopping centre

One of the major Post Office branches in Leeds has committed to its long-term future at a retail centre in the city.

The service provider has renewed its lease at St Johns Shopping Centre where it has been open for more than a quarter of a century. St Johns Centre Manager Susan Mendoza said: “On behalf of our customers we are thrilled that the Post Office sees itself very much at 
home here, now and for the future.”

As well as selling stamps and handling parcels, the Post Office offers a range of services including Drop & Go, passport application checks, document certification, driving licence renewal, vehicle tax, current account banking and foreign currency.

The 4,437 square foot site first opened its doors in 1986 and has been very popular with generations of shoppers visiting the Merrion Street centre, which attracts more than 7.5 million customers a year.
