Leeds bar The Brotherhood of Pursuits and Pastimes is in the running to win a £10,000 investment to improve the pub.

The sports bar, on the corner of New Briggate and Merrion Street, opened in October 2014 and its sister bar opened in Manchester city centre last August.

The extra money could go towards anything that improves the venue for its customers such as more entertainment or extra seating.

Bar review: The Brotherhood
The competition by beer brand Budweiser takes place during this summer’s World Cup and is based on how passionate punters are during the games.

That passion will be measured by noise, with a machine calculating which pub accumulates the most decibels over the month.

To crown the winner, the two finalists will go head to head on the World Cup final day and the loudest pub will win the £10,000.

The Brotherhood of Pursuits and Pastimes is popular with sports fans and it will be showing every game of the World Cup.

There will be competition as 10 other bars are competing for the investment.
