INTREPID explorers had the chance to dig deep and climb inside a huge 90ft cave – nestled next to a Leeds shopping centre.

The impressive caving system made of fibreglass was unveiled at The Light at the weekend.

Visitors had the chance to explore two levels of tunnelling filled with life-like stalactites, boulders and fossils during its two-day stint at the centre.

The free activity saw adults and children squeeze their way around the climbing walls.

Participants could also have their movements watched closely by family and friends on CCTV.

Stephanie James is the marketing manager at The Light.

She said: “We know how difficult it can be to stick to New Year resolutions, especially for people with a hectic schedule.

“This is why we’ve decided to host unique interactive events to show our customers how getting active can be outside the norm and extremely enjoyable too!”
