Under the law, sex establishments are licenced for 12 months at a time and therefore they must routinely apply for it to be extended.

According to the council’s online list of current licensing applications, members of the public have until August 12 to make any comments about the request.

A decision will then be made on whether or not to extend the licence thereafter.
