No 5am opening for Juicy Gossip takeaway after meeting hears police reports of assaults and alleged rape

Leeds City Council's licensing sub-committee met this morning to discuss applications from Juicy Gossip takeaway for a temporary licence which would allow them to open until 5am.

Councillors resolved to issue a counter notice, meaning that the event can't take place. Leeds City Council's legal officer said: "The sub committee was concerned about the number of incidents appeared to be associated with the premises." Here's a recap of what happened at the meeting
