Leeds school expansions plan

proposed School expansions in in Headingley & Hyde Park and Swarcliffe & Whinmoor are expected to get the go-ahead from Leeds City Council’s cabinet on Wednesday. (Feb 10)

The intake at Fieldhead Carr Primary School is set to go up from 30 children a year to 60 from 2018. At Brudenell Primary School, there are plans to increase admissions from 40 to 60 a year from September 2017.

Councillor Lucinda Yeadon, executive member for children and families, said: “A great deal of work has already taken place to identify and deliver extra capacity around school places, and we continue to work with schools, residents and partners to find innovative solutions to meet this demand.”
