These will be the most expensive Leeds areas for council tax after April 2021 rise
Leeds City Council has proposed a 1.99% rise in core council tax for all wards from April 2021, with an additional 3% rise to pay for adult social care.
The proposed rise will be voted at the full council meeting on February 26. If the plan is approved, most of the city will see Band D rise from £1,711.15 to £1,796.54. But some towns and villages in Leeds pay an extra surcharge on top of what is owed to the council, police and fire - this is called a parish 'precept'. Here we reveal the 10 most expensive areas in Leeds for council tax and the amount they will pay if the proposed 4.99% rise goes ahead, based on the 2019/20 rate for Band D houses.
