Licenses to operate an ice cream van had been revoked in line with government guidelines when lockdown was enforced on March 23.

The council had urged the public to report ice cream vans operating illegally during the pandemic.

However, licenses have now been reinstated after the Government eased lockdown restrictions.

A spokesperson for the council said: "Thank you to everyone who has reported mobile businesses they have seen operating during the pandemic.

"These businesses, including mobile ice cream vans, are now trading in line with government guidelines on coronavirus and you no longer need to report these to us."
