Police issue urgent appeal after man goes missing in Leeds

An urgent appeal has been issued by police searching for a man last seen getting out of a taxi in Leeds.

The last reported sighting of Ruzhdi Smagli was at the junction of Bruntcliffe Lane and Bruntcliffe Avenue in Morley at about 6.20am this morning (Monday).

Mr Smagli, 49, lives in Little London and is originally from Kosovo.

He is described as 5ft 11in and of heavy build, with short dark brown hair. 

Detective Inspector Phil Jackson, of Leeds District CID, said: "We are very concerned for Ruzhdi's welfare and urgently need to find him and check he is okay.

"We would like to hear from anyon who has seen him or who has any information that could assist in tracing him." 

Anyone with information is asked to contact Leeds District CID via 101, quoting log number 417 of March 27.
