Police investigation after teenager stabbed in Sheffield park

Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was stabbed at a Sheffield park.

Officers were called following reports than an 18-year-old man had been stabbed in his back and neck at Manor Fields Park in the City Road area at around 4.50pm on Monday, February 22.

The man was taken to Northern General Hospital where he received treatment for his injuries.

He has since been discharged.

Detective Sergeant John Yoxall said: “I would like to appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time, or who may have witnessed the incident, to contact police.

“While we appreciate that incidents like this are alarming, they are relatively rare and I would like to reassure local residents that our enquiries in to this matter remain ongoing.”
