Police hunt two men after knifepoint robbery in Woodhouse Moor, Leeds

A man has been threatened with a knife and robbed in Woodhouse Moor.

The 20-year-old victim was walking near the bowling green when he was approached by two men on Thursday June 23 at around 5.25am.

One of the men held a knife to his stomach and demanded his phone and wallet before the pair fled with the items.

The man with the knife was described as Asian, aged around 23, 5ft 8ins tall, stocky, with short, straight black hair and a round face. He was wearing a dark sports cap, a navy blue Adidas jacket and grey jogging bottoms.

The other suspect was Asian, about 18 years old and smaller than the first man. He was wearing a plain black puffer jacket with the hood up, which had beige hook fastenings at the front, and grey jogging bottoms.

He was carrying a black or navy blue bag with a leaf emblem and the word ‘addicted’ on it. He was also riding a silver-framed BMX bicycle.

Police Constable Rob Kennerley, of the Leeds District Crime Team, said: “This was a frightening experience for the victim to be robbed at knifepoint and we would like to hear from anyone who thinks they recognise the suspects from the detailed descriptions and the e-fit images.”
