A Harehills resident sent a tweet early this (Weds Feb 21) morning, asking: "@WestYorksPolice Is there any reason in particular that you helicopter is keeping everyone in Harehills awake? It's 00.20hrs. What's going on?"

The helicopter crew replied from Twitter account @NPASCarrGate: "Hi Rob, sorry for disturbing you. We were tasked with looking for 3 missing 12yr old girls. They were located but ran from officers. They then played hide and seek in gardens until we directed officers into their hiding place. They were safely returned home."
