Police called to reports of assault in Shipley

An area in Shipley was cordoned off this morning as police investigated reports of an assault.

West Yorkshire Police said officers had been called to the scene near the NISA store on Valley Road shortly before 6am, to reports that a woman had been assaulted.

"The location was cordoned off and the female was taken to a local police station where details of the assault are currently being established," a force spokesman said.
