Police appeal for witnesses after two seriously injured in Temple Newsam crash

Police have issued a fresh appeal for witnesses after two people were seriously injured in a crash in Leeds.

It happened in Temple Newsam Park at about 8.30pm on Saturday January 30.

A Seat Ibiza was travelling on Temple Newsam Road in the direction of Temple Newsam House when it came off the road.

It crashed into a tree leaving the driver and an 18-year-old passenger trapped.

They were rescued by firefighters and taken to hospital.

The 18-year-old passenger suffered a serious leg injury and the driver also suffered serious injuries.

West Yorkshire Police believe there were potential witnesses in a nearby car park and would like to speak to anyone with any information about what happened.

Anyone who saw the crash or the car beforehand, or who has video footage, is asked to contact the Eastern Area Roads Policing Unit on 101 referencing police log 1703 of January 30.
