Police and ambulance rush to Tong Road in Leeds as Audi overturns

A man was injured as a car overturned in Leeds this morning.

Police and ambulances rushed to Tong Road, where the black Audi was upside down near the Shell petrol station, at around 9.20am.

The road was blocked as the emergency services dealt with the accident.

Glass and debris could be seen on the ground.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "We were called at 9.20 this morning to a road traffic collision on Tong Road in Armley.

"A man suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital as a precaution.

"The road has now reopened."

A Yorkshire Ambulance Service spokeswoman said that it sent a rapid response vehicle and ambulance, and one patient was taken to Leeds General Infirmary with minor injuries.
