Pictured: A teenage Jo Cox stands at the door of 10 Downing Street
A POIGNANT photo has emerged of murdered MP Jo Cox as a teenager standing outside the door of 10 Downing Street.
Mrs Cox, who was shot and stabbed to death in Birstall, West Yorkshire, last Thursday, stares intently into the camera as she enjoys a trip to the capital with friends from Heckmondwike Grammar School.
It is believed the mother-of-two, who would have celebrated her 42nd birthday today, is around 14 in the picture.
The photo, taken in the early 1980s, shows Mrs Cox along with nine other pupils from her school.
It has been released by her former teacher John Lockwood.
Mr Lockwood, now 80, of Huddersfield, was at the school for 37 years and became head of geography.
• Thomas Mair, 52, from Birstall, has appeared at the Old Bailey charged with murdering Mrs Cox, grievous bodily harm against Mr Kenny, possession of a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence and possession of a knife.
