PHOTOS: Car smashes into wall and tree in garden of Leeds house

Police and ambulance services were apparently called out after a car smashed into a wall and a tree at a house in Leeds.

Readers got in touch with the Yorkshire Evening Post to tell us about the incident at Well Garth Bank in Bramley.

Those at the scene suggested the car, a dark coloured VW Golf, had come down Copley Lane before the impact happened.

"The only thing that stopped the car was a tree if the car had been a couple of inches to the right then it would have landed into the garden

"The engine has fallen out and the airbags activated due to the impact"

The incident is believed to have happenend at about 9pm on Saturday (June 15).

Ambulances and police reportedly arrived to treat the driver and the passenger but the extent of their injuries is unknown.

West Yorkshire Police have been contacted for comment.
