Hundreds of participants of all ages and abilities turned out for the 19th Bramham Park Fun Run yesterday morning.

Founded by Ann and Jeff Newton in 1999, the first event attracted 66 runners.

Now its 5km and 10km courses attract around 600 runners each year and the total raised for Cancer Research UK to date has topped £200,000.

James Sewry, of Ampleforth, took the 5km title this year, while Josh Fuller, from Harrogate, won the 10km race.

Runners now have until October 22 to send in any sponsorship collected.
