Photo essay: All ages and abilities are welcome at 5k Leeds Parkrun

The event, every Saturday at 9am, is a chance for all members of the local community - whether male or female, young or old, - to unite and enjoy this beautiful park while getting more physically active at the same time.

This particular Parkrun was the fourth in the country to be established, nine years ago, and is the first to have been set up outside London.

Whether you are a complete novice looking to get started on a ‘running journey’, or a seasoned athlete looking for an extra date on your training schedule, all are welcome.
