People considering helping the appeal are being urged not to miss the deadline for donations of Tuesday December 17.

Radio Aire charity manager Lisa Sullivan, said: “We are really desperate for more support so please, if you can afford to, buy an extra gift or donate cash online to Mission Christmas.

"Your support means the world to us and the children we support. Many of these children would get absolutely nothing without our support and we want to show them we care and give them hope.

"You can help bring the magic of Christmas back to their lives. Every child deserves to get a Christmas present but for many of the families we support it’s simply a luxury they can not afford and a lot of these families have to choose between heating and eating.

"Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone that has supported us and to those of you that will be doing, this gift will be the best gift you will give to anyone this Christmas”

People can buy an extra gift and drop it off before December 17 at any B&M, Wickes, Bensons for Beds in West Yorkshire and Hytal Kitchens in Morley.

Gifts can also be dropped off at many of the stores at Crown Point Shopping Park in Leeds, Radio Aire on Burley Road, Leeds and Mission Christmas HQ at The Store Room, Millshaw, LS11 8EG.

There are many other drop off points which can be found at www.radioaire.co.uk/mission and if you don’t have time to buy a gift you can also donate cash online and the Cash for Kids team will buy a gift on your behalf.
