The musician, famous for presenting his BBC show Later...With Jools Holland, was on a private tour of the stately home in East Leeds on Thursday when he sat down to perform at a piano in one of its grand rooms.

Staff at the house said the private performance 'made our week'.

Video of the performance was posted on the Temple Newsam Twitter account, which wrote: "We had the amazingly talented Jools Holland pop to see us for a house tour today!

"Of course we couldn't resist to ask him to play us a little something on our piano. Thanks again for the private show, made our week!"
