Carol Dickinson, 60 disappeared on Friday, December 4, after she was seen leaving a Tesco in Edenthorpe, Doncaster.

Concerns were raised and an urgent search was launched after Ms Dickinson left the Tesco store in Thorne Road, at 11.20am.

South Yorkshire Police have confirmed a body was found by officers shortly after midnight on Saturday, December 5.

Formal identification had not yet taken place this morning but police believe the body is that of Ms Dickinson.

A statement from the force said: "Officers searching for missing woman Carol Dickinson have found a body. While formal identification has not yet taken place, officers believe it to be Carol and her family have been informed.
