Police dog finds high risk person missing in West Yorkshire collapsed in snowy woods within undergrowth

A high risk person who went missing in West Yorkshire has been found collapsed within the undergrowth in some woods by a police dog.

After half an hour of searching, operational dog PD Macy for West Yorkshire Police found the person who had not been seen since the early hours of the morning.

The high risk person had collapsed within the undergrowth in the snow in a wooded area in Kirklees.

The person is now receiving treatment at hospital.

A tweet from operational dogs' PD Macy and PD Molly's account (with their handler) said: "Kirklees.

"High risk missing person, not seen since early hours of this morning.

"Request for PD Macy to search wooded area.

"After half hour of searching in snowing conditions PD Macy locates the person collapsed within undergrowth & is now receiving treatment at hospital."
