Luke Deegan was riding a white Aprilla motorcycle on Paradise Way, next to the A1(M) on Friday January 24 when he collided with a Toyota pick-up truck.

On Friday (February 28), bikers lined the streets of Leeds to honour him.

Luke's coffin was placed within a side-car of a motorbike, with the number 46 emblazoned in yellow on the front.

Police closed roads on the procession from the Old Red Lion pub in Whinmoor to the funeral service at Whitkirk St Mary's Church as Leeds residents paid their respects.

Speaking to the Yorkshire Evening Post on Thursday, Luke's sister Ellie, 22, said he was 'loveable' and 'cheeky' with an 'infectious laugh'.

Ellie said: "Luke was the most perfect boy.

"Luke was definitely the best brother to me.

"I adored him and I always will, like twins as we used to say.

"He was very cheeky with an infectious laugh.

"Definitely a Leeds Lads.

Luke is survived by his loving dad James and mum Suzanne.

Ellie said popular Luke always helped out and looked after his friends.

She added: "Luke made friends for life wherever he went.

"The love he had for his friends, and girlfriend Holly, was endless.

"You could hear Luke a mile off, be it his laugh or the sound of him on his motorbike.

"Anything I needed, I used to go to him. More like a big brother than a little brother, he knew it

too."

Luke's white-coloured coffin was carried into the church adorned with motorbike-style decals.

His favourite hobby was riding his motorbike, Ellie said.

She told how he would always get his friends involved and even taught her how to ride a bike.

Ellie said: "Luke definitely lived life to the full, like every day was his last.

"I’m so grateful he got to do the things he did.

"He loved us all dearly, and we loved him.

"No regrets Lukey."

Poignant photographs show the bikers in a convoy accompanying the side-car through the streets.

In a letter written to her brother shared with the Yorkshire Evening Post, Ellie said: "You have me forever, and I have you my darling boy. I love you.

"Ride In Paradise my brother.

"All my love, your big sis Ellie xxxxxx"
