Morrissey is heading to Leeds in spring 2020: Here's how to get tickets
Music icon Morrissey is heading to Leeds in the spring as part of a UK tour.
The singer-songwriter will take to the stage at the city's First Direct Arena on Friday, March 6.
The show will then be followed by the release of Morrissey’s 13th solo album, I Am Not A Dog On A Chain, due to be released on Friday, March 20.
These new tour dates follow the critically acclaimed performances of Morrissey’s recent US tour in Autumn of 2019 with special guests Interpol. The 30 date tour drew large crowds and received rave reviews across the country.
"Imagine being hit by the world’s most beautiful fist. That’s what the night felt like. I don’t know if the blow came from the left. And I don’t know if the blow came from the right. But I do know I’ll be cherishing the black-and-blue for the rest of my life," wrote one critic, while another observed: "In fine form and excellent voice, Morrissey was every inch a performer, dramatically whipping his microphone cord to punctuate movements and crooning dramatically when appropriate. For a night of deeply intellectual and thoughtful pop music, Morrissey has no peer."
Tickets to the shows will go on-sale to the public on Friday, January 24 at 9am. An exclusive pre-sale will take place starting on Tuesday, January 21, at 9am for those fans who have pre-ordered the I Am Not A Dog On A Chain album in advance through Townsend Music.
