Leeds power cut: At least 4,000 Leeds homes left without electricity after major power cut across city
At least 4,000 homes and businesses in Leeds have been left without electricity after a major power cut.
Northern Powergrid first reported the unexpected problem at 9.15am, affecting 3,943 homes in LS25.
However, there have been further reports of power cuts across north Leeds, including LS17 and LS6.
Northern Powergrid engineers are carrying out repairs to fix the unexpected power cut.
In a statement issued on Twitter, Northern Powergrid said: "For this type of power cut we normally restore power to 90 per cent of our customers in about 90 minutes.
"We currently estimate your power will be back by 10.45am.
"If our repairs take longer, we will keep you updated here."
