The AA said: "Road closed and stationary traffic due to accident on New Market Street both ways from Kirkgate to Duncan Street."
In an update, First Bus said: "Due to an incident Vicar Lane Leeds is closed. Services 49/50/50A & 56 are diverting via Headrow, Eastgate, St Peters Street, Marsh Lane until clear.
