A Leeds man who was talked down from a bridge on New Year's Day has launched an appeal to find the young couple who saved him.

The man, who wished to remain anonymous, said the day was a 'blur' but he was talked down from the bridge outside the BP garage at Bramley roundabout by a man and a woman.

He said he was desperately trying to find the couple who saved his life.

The man said: "I'd love to be able to thank them for stopping and being with me until I got down.

"They were driving a red corsa three door car."

The man described the couple as in their mid 20s.
