Leeds Hospital Radio to dedicate Christmas Eve hour to song requests for patients to raise money for charity
A new song request show on Leeds Hospital Radio on Christmas Eve will allow anyone to request a song for an inpatient by making a donation to charity.
The "Hospital Happy Hour" show will broadcast at 7pm to 8pm on Thursday.
Songs for hospital patients can be requested with a minimum donation of £1 made towards Leeds Teaching Hospitals Charity Leeds Cares.
Patients will be informed that a song has been requested for them in the show on Hospedia Channels 5 and 6.
Leeds Cares supports NHS staff and works with local communities, schools and business across the city to provide an additional £5 million in additional funding for Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust each year.
