'Twelve weeks of lockdown' is a humorous take on the Christmas classic '12 Days of Christmas' and features the lyrics 'On the first week of lockdown, corona gave to me... panic -buying in Aldi'.

Other witty substitutes for the 'days of Christmas' include "Joe Wicks on TV', 'home-working madness', 'Amazon deliveries' and 'grey roots-a-shining'.

Since the video was uploaded onto YouTube it has been viewed over 700 times and carries the message: "Our tribute to our wonderful NHS staff and key workers across the UK. Thank you!"

Choir leader Kate Mayger said the choir itself - which has grown in popularity since it began in 2016 - includes a number of key workers among its 30 members.

She told the Yorkshire Evening Post: "We started in 2016 as a group of four and have grown to around 30.

"Rehearsing at Carr Manor Community School has meant that we have been able to open it up to both the school and the local community.

"There are quite a few parents - including myself - but the core are people of all ages, from around the Meanwood, Chapel Allerton and Moortown area.

"We've be doing Zoom rehearsals since early April and had discussed creating some kind of video, dedicated to key workers and NHS staff, some of whom are in the choir - from teachers, school inclusion leaders and council workers to NHS practitioners, administrators and practice managers.

One of our lovely members, Jane [Bardsley], decided to re-write the lyrics to 12 Days of Christmas - a song which we were absolutely sick of performing at Christmas! - and so, very much dedicated to the amazing people keeping us all going, the 12 Weeks of Lockdown was created."
