It comes as no surprise that the affluent north Leeds suburb made the list. Roundhay is most well-known for its park, but also has an abundance of bars, shops and restaurants.
It's not just about suburbia, the waterfront in Leeds city centre was named one of the top spots to live with its lively bars and restaurants.
It's not just students in Headingley anymore. The thriving suburb just a stone's throw from the city centre has a lot to offer people of all ages.
One of the most prosperous areas to live, Alwoodley is a particularly picturesque and quiet village. Nearby is Eccup Reservoir and two golf courses, so a perfect spot for lovers of the outdoors.
Another of Leeds' picturesque villages. Bramhope has all the bustle of a cosy village, whilst also being on the doorstep of the great outdoors. Golden Acre Park and Otley Chevin are both just a 10-minute drive.
More a town in its own right than a suburb, the lively market town of Otley is one of the most exciting places to live in Leeds and the ideal spot for lovers of sport, cycling and the great outdoors.
'Up and coming' is the buzzword everybody is using for Meanwood right now, although with its splendid park and array of cafs and restaurants it's not hard to see why.
