"The past months have presented many challenges for the charity, but also generated some good opportunities for Harewood in the way that we work.

We launched new daily content online throughout lockdown as part of our Harewood At Home series, in addition to launching our first fundraising Appeal for the Bird Garden, which raised just under £10,000.

“The first few weeks of reopening have been extremely positive, and we’re delighted to see people enjoying the space again with their families and friends.”

A new exhibition in the house features the work of acclaimed British sculptor Kate MccGwire.

Her work with bird feathers echoes the celebrations around the 50th anniversary of the Harewood Bird Garden.

There is a new temporary natural outdoor play area at Harewood along with existing favourite attractions including the bird garden and walled garden.

A new drive-in cinema will launch in August at Harewood House.
