Facebook Messenger down across Yorkshire as users complain of messages not sending

According to tracker Down Detector, more than 2,000 reports of the service being unavailable have been made in the last hour.

At least 80% of users said their messages are not sending, with 15% reporting a login error.

The first reports of the service being down were made around 9am this morning.

Some users took to social media to report issues replying or sending messages.

Others said they weren't able to see which users are online on the platform.
