An appeal which helps families across Leeds that need financial help has launched an urgent new appeal in light of the effects of the coronavirus situation.

The Cash for Kids appeal, which is backed by the Yorkshire Evening Post, has urgently re-launched today to help families across West Yorkshire.

Relying on donations, the Cash for Kids Appeal will build a fund from which grants will help families help cope, such as covering basic essentials including food and heating.

Grants from the appeal will also be made available to those children who receive free school meals, over and above the Government’s voucher scheme.
