Are these your photos? Wedding photos dating back to 1973 found in a dresser drawer in Leeds

Are these your photographs? An artist in Leeds found them in her new dresser drawer and she wants to trace the owners.

Sarah Jo Evans, from Leeds, purchased the second-hand dresser with hopes to fix it up and sell it in her small side business, Cheeky Toucan.

However, when she came to repaint the piece of furniture she was shocked to find 12 stunning wedding photos inside one of the drawers.

Ms Evans, 30, a self-employed Scenic Artist, said: “The previous owner explained to me that the photos had been found inside the dresser drawer and each owner since then seems to have kept hold of the photos.

Are these your photographs? They are dated 14/06/1973.

“I guess even to a stranger, they seem too precious to throw away, especially as they’re not from a decade where you could take and save endless amounts of photos as we can now,” Ms Evans continues.

“It makes these moments more special and I’m sure they’d mean a lot to someone if they got them back.”

The date written on the back of the photos is 14/06/1973, suggesting that these photos have been missing for a long time.

Ms Evans has posted the photos onto Facebook with hopes of reuniting them with their original owner.
